NEWS AND UPDATES:

9/29/09:  Several new festival screenings for "Sombrero" are approaching, including ones in Seattle, North Hollywood, Culver City, and two in Germany!  If you live in any of those cities please check out the festival websites below.

"Sombrero" will also be making its TV debut in April, 2010, on the LOGO network as part of their Best in Short Film Series.  It will be screening on the network periodically for three years.  More details to come!

In other news, my feature film HERPES BOY will be making its world premiere at the Austin Film Festival on Oct. 24, 2009.  You can view the trailer for HERPES BOY here!

3/9/09:  The LOGO network has made an offer on "Sombrero!"  While the deal is not final I expect it to go through within a couple of weeks.  It will begin screening in September.

1/19/09:  Happy new year!  Lots of festival action for "Sombrero" lately.  Check out the new screenings below.  Also got a request from LOGO to see the film, which might lead to some screenings on cable.  Stay tuned!

9/2/08:  "Sombrero"  was named one of the Best of the Fest - audience favorites in comedy at the 2008 Palm Springs International Short Fest!  The festival was an absolute blast and I had a great time meeting filmmakers, seeing films, and attending the festival events.

I also got the great news today that the film was accepted to Reeling 2008:  27th Chicago Gay & Lesbian Film Festival.  This is the second-oldest GLBT festival in the world.

SOMBRERO (2008)

LOGLINE
An awkward blind date in a Mexican restaurant quickly takes a turn toward the absurd.

SYNOPSIS
James and Raymond are two men looking for a connection in life.  They meet for a blind date in a Mexican restaurant.  James is extremely nervous, but Raymond is calm and collected and tries to make the most of their awkward encounter.  But as the two men learn more about each other, their rocky date takes an unexpected turn toward the absurd.
